1962-1976:
I first came into the world in 1962. I already had three siblings. Two brothers and a sister. My father died when i was six and it was after this event that my memories seem to kick in. And those first memories were football. After winning their first and only world cup in 1966 England, for a brief period, were the best football team in the world. Those heightened memories have shaped my life ever since. Football and the politics of community, mixed with a healthy dose of libertarian sixties revolution become the bedrock of my own personality right up to the present day .
Below are a few highlights of my formative years:
Some of the music that originally stimulated my obsession with music :
The politics of the USA in the late sixties early seventies heavily influenced my interest in social justice and radical thought.
And finally the greatest moment in British football history : The 1966 world cup final.
1976 – 1996:
My twenties and thirties were all about traveling the world and attempting to change it. Punk rock came along and with its mix of anti establishment politics and alternative lifestyle changed my life forever. Children came along (as you can see from the picture below) which meant settling into some type of routine and time to consider my lifestyle.
Fine tuning my own personal ethics whilst trekking through India and Asia allowed me to get a global perspective of life which produced a much broader cultural understanding of the world we live in. During the mid nineties I decided to implement some of my own experiences into practical uses. This included further education and a decision to look for work in the Human Services industry.
